Electric Program

It was established under the name of Electrical Program (II. Education) within the scope of MEB-YÖK project since 2002-2003 Academic Year. In 2011-2012 Academic Year, students were accepted to Day Program with an additional quota. Electrical Program has been switched to 3+1 education model since 2019-2020 Academic Year. In 3+1 education model, our students receive theoretical and practical courses in school for three terms and practical training in businesses for 14 weeks in one term.

Our mission is to provide students with the necessary training in the subjects needed in the industry in their professional field, to train Electrical Technicians who are committed to ethical values and compatible with teamwork, and to provide services for the benefit of society.

Our vision is to be among the departments that provide skills in the acquisition, application and production of knowledge, and whose graduates are preferred in our country and in the region.

The Department of Electrical and Energy has two laboratories organized as Direct Current and Alternating Current Measurement Laboratory, Electrical Machinery Application Group, Electromechanical Control and PLC Application Group, Electrical Installation, Electrical Home Appliances Group, and Panel Design Group. In order to process the department courses visually, there is a projection system in both of our laboratories. In line with the effective use of information technologies, we focus on computer-aided project applications as a department and prepare electrical installation projects so that our students have the necessary education and skills. In order to support the theoretical knowledge of vocational courses with practice, our students do project-based group studies in addition to laboratory applications from the relevant courses.
